Sophia’s Heart- Nashville Hires Additional Staff To Assist With Housing Demands
Sophia’s Heart is hiring two new staff members to meet the demand of an increased number of residents at the facility.
Executive Director, Clifton Harris, says “There are allot of families in the Nashville area that cannot meet the current increase in rental rates or who have found themselves homeless for various other reasons; lack of adequate employment, serious medical issues, etc. Being able to hire additional staff means we are able to help more families who need a hand up.”
Hannah Breaux, family coordinator at Sophia’s Heart, says “In order to help as many families as possible we could use the public’s help. Right now we are in need of toiletry items like kitchen and bathroom paper products, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates and utensils, soap, shampoo, garbage bags, etc.”
Sophia’s Heart provides housing, prepared meals, and self development programming to help families break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. The facility is open to single mothers with children, single fathers with children, and married couples with or without children who have fallen on hard times with a goal of keeping the family unit intact while assisting them through economic, educational, and spiritual recovery.
