Corporate Gift Matching

What if our personal donation dollars to Sophia’s Heart could magically multiply?

Your contributions can double, or even triple itself-simply by posing a simple question to your employer or Human Resources department:  “Does our company have a Corporate Matching Gifts Program?”

These programs can be structured in different ways; sometimes it is as easy as mailing a form from your employer along with your own personal donation to Sophia’s Heart.  Some companies even handle the donation themselves; they will deduct your gift through payroll and send it along with their matching dollars.

You may be surprised to learn your company participates.   Many corporations offer this benefit- Aetna, Home Depot, Starbucks, WI Energies, Us Bancorp among many, many others offer matching funds in the thousands of dollars.  Even if you work for a small business, it doesn’t hurt to inquire-Small businesses can have big hearts too.

Right now is the time to ask! Businesses are calculating their year end deduction needs, as well as determining 2012 budgets, so requesting matching dollars to your own Sophia’s Heart 2011 deductible gift could be fruitful.  Even if your business is maxed out for 2011, you can plan for next year.  Please let us know if your employer offers this benefit (1-800-595-6269) so we can add them to our records.
